Do you hunt with a handgun?

Have you tried hip holsters, shoulder holsters, and bandoleer holsters, only to think, "there has to be a better way to carry this big, heavy handgun"?  Are you tired of a back ache at the end of the day?  Sick of your handgun clanking and banging against your tree stand?  Does your current carry system get more cumbersome when you wear winter clothing?  Do you like to hunt in overalls but can’t find a way to carry your handgun?  I had many of these same problems and decided to find a better system!

I needed a system that could carry a large handgun without undue stress on my back as I traveled over rough terrain all day long.  It had to position the handgun so it wouldn't pose a problem for tree stand hunting.  I designed and built a prototype, then I hunted with it.  On the first trip, I hiked 10 miles carrying my scoped 6.5" .44 magnum.  No chafing, no back strain, and I was loving it!

The best part is that this is not a holster but a holster harness.  Any holster with belt slots will fit on this harness.  The holster adapter slides into the slots on your holster and is suspended at an angle so your handgun hangs at a slight cant.  It can be reversed for left handed draw.  This is not a quick draw rig but works very well for hunting.  It hangs very securely and hugs the body when bending.  It can be worn under or over a heavy coat.  It works equally well with many of the nylon holsters that have "D" rings on each side at the top.  On this type holster, you rig the straps through the "D" rings instead of the holster adapter that comes with the harness.

This is the last carry system you will ever use for a hunting handgun!
